Kenyans in Tanzania turned out in large numbers to attend the Diaspora Forum that was hosted by H.E. Amb. Isaac Njenga, Kenya’s High Commissioner to Tanzania and the Staff of the Kenya High Commission in Dar es salaam on Saturday 9th March 2024 at Golden Tulip Hotel in Dar es salaam.
The Forum was graced by Amb. Anne Wanjohi, Director, Liaison & Partnerships Division, as Chief Guest, representing Ms. Roseline Njogu, Principal Secretary, State Department for Diaspora Affairs, Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya.
The Forum held under the theme, “Forging networks and harnessing the full potential of the Kenya Diaspora in Tanzania” was aimed at sensitizing the Diaspora on the systems and structures put in place by the Government of Kenya to protect the diaspora and harness the opportunities available. The Forum also provided valuable information on investment opportunities in Kenya and established useful networks for job creation, opening trade routes, skills and technology transfer.
The Forum was held in partnership with KCB Bank Tanzania as the main sponsor together with other sponsors that included Kenya Airways, Coca-Cola, Ketepa, Centum, Vodacom, Bakhresa Group and Serengeti Breweries.
