Today, His Excellency Dr.William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya began a two-day State Visit to United Republic of Tanzania at the invitation of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania. The two Leaders held official bilateral talks at State House Dar es Salaam where they reaffirmed commitment to strengthening the bilateral relations and strategic partnership between the Republic of Kenya and the United Republic of Tanzania notably in the areas of Trade, Energy, Transport, Agriculture, Tourism, Infrastructure development, ICT, Cross Border matters, Regional and International Cooperation.
The two Leaders witnessed the signing of 8 key bilateral instruments that will significantly broaden cooperation between the two countries in infrastructure development, trade facilitation, regional logistics, public service, security and energy. The two Leaders also addressed the Tanzania-Kenya Business Forum held under the theme “Unlocking Private Sector Growth and Investment” where they committed to enhancing trade and investment for the benefit of the people. H.E. Dr William Samoei Ruto will tomorrow, 5th May, 2026, address the Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania in Dodoma before concluding his official visit to the United Republic of Tanzania.
